Philip Gimmack - from bored accountant to well established London Life Coach
Ah... the beauty of 20/20 hindsight. Do you ever find yourself saying "I wish I had..." or "wish I hadn't"?
As a younger man I didn't know what I wanted from Life and at school just went along with what was, kindly suggested was, in 'my best interests',
At 16 this was to to play to my academic strengths. There wasn't any discussion about the real me
or my passion for helping others and humanistic psychology.
simply my schooling and studies and what was commonly accepted as a good career.
Sure I went on to get a good finance degree but, boy oh boy, I was no Accountant.
I never looked at just how suited I was. What there was however was peer pressure, fears, lack of discussion and a general sense of
un-knowing about myself.
So 6 years later I was 'NEARLY' an accountant and realised that I hated what I was doing. It simply wasn't 'me'.
The bubble of denial I was living in finally burst.
So, I then started to re-discover the 'younger me' of 16. I started reading about Psychology and went on to study Hypnotherapy. I started working for myself
combining my business knowledge with Personal development to make a 'real difference' that I could actually see.
I build a successful business consultancy and love helping people get more from their lives.
This lesson I learnt in my earlier years is etched on my mind.
It is that You have special qualities which are unique to you. Uncover and nurture them and you may well be
amazed at your true potential. Without this in your life, you are depriving yourself and the world of 'your best' that
you can be.
That's it, in a nutshell..
Often it doesn't have to take the form of drastic life changes to acheive...but it does need you to start looking
for change...
